Electric Anchoring Winch for 950 kg Anchor – Marsouin Pusher Boat (LAFARGE / CEMEX)
Context & challenge
To equip the Marsouin pusher boat operated by the LAFARGE group, the Haute-Seine shipyard commissioned ILC to design an electric anchoring winch capable of lifting a 950 kg anchor while ensuring a holding capacity of 8 tons during operation. The main challenge: delivering a compact solution that fits into the limited onboard space while meeting the demanding conditions of both river and maritime applications.
Solution & execution
ILC developed a fully custom electric winch featuring:
- a disengageable drum for fast and safe anchor handling,
- a manual drum brake for secure holding during anchoring,
- a robust, user-friendly electric control cabinet.
The winch was engineered to provide high reliability, minimal maintenance requirements, and seamless integration onto the vessel.
Key technical highlights
- Lifting of a 950 kg anchor, with 8-ton holding capacity.
- Compact design tailored to restricted deck spaces.
- High durability and reliability in mixed river/maritime environments.
