Two 15-ton Variable-Speed Electric Winches (In Production)

Context & challenge

Following the initial engineering phase, ETPO entrusted ILC with full-scale manufacturing of two winches for their service pontoon. The main challenge: integrate variable-speed control, enhanced safety and mechanical compatibility with the ageing support frame.

Solution & execution

Each winch includes a full electrical control cabinet, a speed drive, a band brake and an automatic spooling system. The design was optimized to manage high loads while fitting seamlessly onto the existing structure.
